Personal Spiritual Disciplines


Scripture Reading, Meditation/Reflection, Memorization- Spend time alone with God, in His Scriptures, reading, studying, learning.

Solitude/Personal Retreat Times- Set aside longer periods of time to spend alone with God.

Journaling- Writing your prayers and thoughts and honest feelings, even complaints to God can be very helpful in your walk with God.

Fasting- Set aside food or one type of food for a meal or a day or more to earnestly seek God.

Technology Fasting- We spend so much time on our phones and computers, watching TV or playing video games. Setting these things aside for periods of time can be a good thing to help us refocus our priorities.
