A Biographical Sketch of Ron Sheveland

Born in 1954 to Leroy and Elaine Sheveland, Ron was nurtured in a godly home that modeled love and service for the Lord Jesus Christ. For 35 years, Leroy was a full-time evangelist and Elaine was involved in many minitries in their local church. Today each of their children are committed Christ-followers. Jerry and Ron are both ministers and Becky is married to a pastor.

Dr. Sheveland has degrees from Cornerstone University and Denver Seminary. He has pastored growing churches in Colorado and Michigan and has provided leadership for a large network of churches in Michigan. His ministry has included writing books and taking short-term missions trips around the world.

Jesus Christ is the joy of his life. In his words. "It is my passion to know God better and share that knowledge with others." Family is his next priority. Jodi and Ron treasure their relationship and partner in all their life endeavors - including ministry. They have been blessed with two children: Luke (14) and Jessica (9).

Jodi (B.A. - Cornerstone University; B.S. - Calvin College), is a former school teacher who is active in the church and home. Family activities include tennis, golf, table games, reading and getting together with others. Ron's emphasis is disciple making. Recognizing that people are at different points of their spiritual journey, the goal is to target them where they are and be used by God to help move them forward. He desires to help people begin a relationship with Jesus Christ and then grow toward maturity and effectiveness.
